HOMEMADE OREOS
So much fun making these and it doesn’t matter what shape it how big it is. You can make them as you wish.
- 250 g butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- ¾ cup of cocoa
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1 ¼ teaspoons of baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla essence and beat.
Stir in cocoa powder, sifted flour, salt and baking powder and mix to a dough.
Cut in shapes as desired and place on a prepared cookie tray.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180° C.
Take out the oven, place on a wire rack and let the cookies cool completely.
Stick two cookies together with the filling.
Enjoy.
For the filling- use an electric beater and beat the following ingredients until smooth.
- 2 ½ cups icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 125 g soft butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
