HOMEMADE AIR-FRYER FRIES/POTATOES
- 1.2 kg floury potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
Peel potatoes and cut them into long thick French fries.
NB: Soak the fries in water for at least 30 minutes
Drain thoroughly, pat dry with paper towel.
Preheat air fryer to 160°C.
Put fries in a large bowl, drizzle with the olive oil to coat.
Transfer to Air fryer basket, set timer for 16 minutes.
When timer rings, slide basket out and shake.
Adjust temperature to 180°C and set timer for another 12 minutes.
After 6 minutes, shake fries again.
Fry until timer rings and the fries is golden brown. Sprinkle with salt.
Another option is to use ready frozen fries: (Eg McCain)
Put into fryer basket from frozen.
Bake on 180°C from start for 12 – 15 minutes until golden brown.
- HOMEMADE CUBES:
- 1.2 kg waxy potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
Cut potatoes into cubes.
Prepare and cook as homemade fries recipe above.
- POTATO SLICES:
- 1.2 kg large waxy potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
Cut each potato in 0.5 cm slices.
Prepare and cook as described in the homemade fries recipe.
