FILLET IN MONKEY GLAND SAUCE
When you’re a lover of monkey gland sauce, this is a quick and easy recipe… enjoy.
- Monkey Gland Sauce:
- 3 onions, peeled and chopped
- 15 ml oil
- 125 ml water
- 90 ml tomato sauce
- 90 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 90 ml grape vinegar
- 90 ml brown sugar
- 45 ml chutney
- 10 ml mixed herbs
Sauté onion in oil, until golden
Add water and boil for 5 min.
Add rest of ingredients, mix and bring to boil, remove from heat.
Fillet:
Season 500 g cubed Fillet steak and mix with a bit of oil.
Heat in a hot cast-iron pan, fry cubed meat until just brown.
(I like mine medium rare so just a few minutes ± 6 min. in total).
Add meat to sauce and bring to boil. Serve on rice.
