EASY APPLE PIE
- Batter:
- 250 ml cake flour
- 250 ml sugar
- 5 ml baking powder
- 125 ml milk
- 40 g margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- small tin of pie apples
- Sauce:
- 250 ml cream
- 190 g sugar
- 1 tablespoon of margarine or butter
Mix all the batter ingredients together, place in a pie dish.
Layer apples on top of the batter.
Bake in oven in a preheated oven at 180 ºC for ± 30 minutes.
Boil the sauce ingredients together, keep hot.
Pour hot sauce over baked pudding whilst hot.
Notes:
You can use any tinned fruit for this recipe.
I always add a ½ cup of milk, a teaspoon of vanilla and a dash of Brandy or OBS to the sauce.
