CRUMBED PORK CHOPS
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 cup cakeflour
- 2 eggs
- seasoning to taste
- 4 pork chops
- oil for baking
Heat up the oil, test if hot enough by placing a wooden spoon in, if it bubbles around the spoon it is hot, set on a medium heat. Oil must be about 1 cm deep.
Mix seasoning, I used steak and chops, chilli aromat and lemon pepper, flour and breadcrumbs. Beat eggs in a separate dish. Dip pork chops in egg and then in crumbmix.
Bake in oil, place lid on for about 5 minutes and turn, bake another 5 minutes, use a fork to prick and see if any blood comes out, if it doesn’t your chop is done.
Place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
Note:
I served ours with mushroom sauce, carrot and pineapple salad and a “braai broodjie”.
