CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP WITH CAFé DE PARIS HERB BUTTER ON TOAST
When you are lazy but need to make dinner🙈for the family.
- 1 packet of cream of tomato soup powder
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cream
- ½ tin of tomato puree
Mix the soup powder with the cold water until no lumps anymore. Stir in the boiling water, cream and puree. Stir over heat until it has thickened and simmer for a few minutes. Ladle into soup bowls.
Cut day old rolls into thin slices and toast until warm and golden brown. Spread with the Café de Paris herb butter and put on top of the soup. Delicious, quick, simple.
Note:
I always have a supply of this herb butter in freezer. Also perfect on steaks hot off the grill.
