CHOCOLATE DREAM CAKE
- Batter:
- 6 eggs
- 400 ml sugar
- 120 ml cocoa
- 200 ml lukewarm water
- 120 ml oil
- 500 ml of cake flour
- 4 ml salt
- 20 ml baking powder
Beat eggs and sugar.
Mix the cocoa with water and oil and add to egg mixture.
Add the rest of sifted dry ingredients.
Bake at 180ºC for 30 minutes.
Note:
I made one large cake and cut in half. Or you can divide batter into 2 cake tins.
As soon as cake is baked, make the following syrup.
- Boiling together and pour over warm cake:-
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ½ cups water
- 15 ml coffee powder (I prefer Nescafe)
- 10 ml vanilla essence
Let the cake cool completely and make the following topping:
- Topping:
- 1 fresh cream
- 1 can of caramel
Whipping together and decorate cake between the two layers and on top.
Simply break a flake on top and enjoy.
