CHICKEN AND PASTA BAKE WITH BACON

  • 2 cups macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium sized carrots, finely chopped
  • 4 zucchinis, finely chopped skin on
  • 100 g bacon, chopped
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 packet brown onion soup powder
  • ⅓ cup cream
  • 1 ½ cups cheese, grated
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste

Heat some oil in a pot, add the chicken and cook for a few minutes until all the pieces are nicely browned.
Add the chopped vegetables together with the bacon and fry for another 5 minutes.
Combine macaroni, soup powder, tomatoes, cream, salt and pepper, keeping in mind that the soup powder already contains salt.
Mix with chicken and vegetables.
Pour mixture into a flat ovenproof dish and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 180ºC for approximately 30 minutes or until the macaroni is soft and the chicken pieces are cooked.
