BROCCOLI SALAD WITH BACON
The flowers start to wither at the start of winter and the birds eat the leaves.
I looked at our garden and decided to cut some broccoli and make a salad.
- 2 broccoli heads, chopped
- 250 g sliced bacon, fried till golden
- 1 Feta wheel, crumbled
- 250 g grated Cheddar cheese
- 400 g mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Cut the florets from the broccoli including the storks. Wash and dry them. Place in a bowl.
Slice bacon and fry in a ¼ teaspoon olive oil. Allow to cool, then add the bacon to the broccoli.
Crush the Feta cheese and add to the broccoli with the Cheddar cheese.
Add the mayonnaise, black pepper and season lightly with salt.
Mix well.
