BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER SALAD

BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER SALAD

  • ½ head broccoli
  • ½ head cauliflower
  • ½ red pepper
  • ½ yellow pepper
  • ½ green pepper
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 150 ml mayonnaise
  • 150 ml 1000 Island sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme (do not substitute this with parsley)
  • 1 teaspoon Aromat

Cut broccoli and cauliflower into small pieces, don’t chop beyond recognition.
Put in a strainer and run boiling water over the broccoli and cauliflower. Let it cool in the strainer.
Finely cut the peppers and red onion.
In a large salad bowl, add broccoli, cauliflower, onions, peppers, cheese, thyme, Aromat, mayonnaise and 1000 Island sauce and gently stir.
Salad must not be too dry or too wet.  Add a bit of 1000 Island if salad is too dry.
