BREAKFAST SCONES
- 125 g butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
Combine sifted flour, icing sugar, salt and baking powder in a dish.
Mix the egg with buttermilk and vanilla essence and combine with the flour mixture.
Make a dough and roll slightly. Don’t handle to much.
Use a scone cutter and cut. Dust some flour on top.
Bake at 190°C for 10 to 12 minutes.
