BRAAI FOR TWO IN THE AIR FRYER
When you are ill and it is too cold to go outside, braai in your AF (good but not wood).
- 300 g thin sosatie sausage:
180ºC, 5 min on a side. - 2 skilpadjies:
180ºC, 5 min on a side. - 2 lamb chops:
180ºC, 4 min on a side, adjust to 200ºC, 2 min on a side.
Rest for 5 min. - Sweet corn and cheese puthu pap:
- 2 pre-cooked sweet corn, cut of the cob
- ½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
- Puthu pap:
- 400 ml water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 500 ml (2 cups) braai pap
- 30 ml butter
Boil the water in a big enough saucepan on the stove.
Add the braai pap to the water in a pile in the middle of the saucepan. Do not stir.
Cook for 2 – 3 minutes.
Stir well with a large fork (I used my large meat fork) to loosen and to form a crumbly texture.
Place dollops of butter on top of the pap.
Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring with a fork twice throughout the cooking time.
Mix the sweet corn, cheese and pap together.
Serve with extra butter and brown sugar (my choice).
