BRAAI FOR TWO IN THE AIR FRYER

When you are ill and it is too cold to go outside, braai in your AF (good but not wood).

  • 300 g thin sosatie sausage:
    180ºC, 5 min on a side.
  • 2 skilpadjies:
    180ºC, 5 min on a side.
  • 2 lamb chops:
    180ºC, 4 min on a side, adjust to 200ºC, 2 min on a side.
    Rest for 5 min.
  • Sweet corn and cheese puthu pap:
  • 2 pre-cooked sweet corn, cut of the cob
  • ½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • Puthu pap:
  • 400 ml water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 500 ml (2 cups) braai pap
  • 30 ml butter

Boil the water in a big enough saucepan on the stove.
Add the braai pap to the water in a pile in the middle of the saucepan. Do not stir.
Cook for 2 – 3 minutes.
Stir well with a large fork (I used my large meat fork) to loosen and to form a crumbly texture.
Place dollops of butter on top of the pap.
Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, stirring with a fork twice throughout the cooking time.
Mix the sweet corn, cheese and pap together.
Serve with extra butter and brown sugar (my choice).
