I made this beetroot relish for my homemade burgers. It’s absolutely yummy!
- 250 g beetroot cooked, peeled and chopped into small pieces
- 1 large onion
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 40 ml balsamic vinegar
- 40 g sugar
Peel and chop the onion and sauté until transparent and soft – ±10 min.
Add the coriander and cook for another 5 min. Then add the balsamic vinegar and sugar, cook for another 5 min. Then add the chopped beetroot and cook for another 10-15 min until the sauce has reduced.
Season with salt and pepper.
Allow to cool in fridge before building your burger.
Don’t add any other sauces besides the relish to the burger.
Crumble Feta cheese over the relish.
