APPLE CRUMBLE
- 1 tin apples (large) or 8 fresh apples, cored, peeled, cut into blocks and cooked
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
Melt the butter and cool down. Combine all above until a crumbly consistency.
Layer apples in dish and sprinkle crumbs over.
Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or till golden brown.
Serve with custard.
Notes:
I used 8 fresh apples and 8 pears, cut into blocks (never precooked) and added a handful of raisins.
Doubled up the ingredients. Next time if I double up, I’ll use less sugar, think a ¾ cup instead of a full cup will do!
