PRAWNS WITH SUMAC, LEMON AND GARLIC
‘n Perfekte braai op ‘n heerlike lente aand.
- 800 g large prawns
- 2 lemons zest and juice of ½ a lemon
- 2 large garlic cloves, peeled and sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 100 g melted butter
- 25 ml olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Sumac spice
- coriander or parsley for garnish
In a big bowl mix all the ingredients for marinade.
Add the prawns to the mixture make sure they are evenly coated, do not marinade for longer than 10 minutes.
Place in single layer of prawns in an oven pan and bake at 180 ºC, 15 min turn after 7 minutes, or grill over medium coals until just done.
Serve with fried rice and a pineapple sambal or salad of your choice.
