CHEESE AND MACARONI
Dis vandag se aandete want dis koud hier in Gonubie, wat ek sal bedien met wortels, ertjies en broccoli😋
- ½ a packet (250 g) macaroni, cooked
- 1.25 liters milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ground pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
- 250 g bacon, chopped
- 9 eggs
- Feta cheese to taste
- 2 cups of grated cheese (your own preference)
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl and add the milk, salt, pepper, mixed herbs, Feta cheese and bacon to the eggs and mix.
Place the cooked macaroni in a large Pyrex rectangle dish suitable for baking.
Add the egg mixture to the macaroni.
Bake the dish in the preheated oven until it’s cooked through.
Remove the dish from the oven just before it’s completely cooked through, sprinkle the grated cheese on top and place the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
Return the dish to the oven and bake until golden and cheese melted.
