APRICOT OR PEACH JAM

Dit hoe hul in Turkye hulle konfyt maak, het dit so maklik gevind om te maak, sal nie weer ‘n ander resep probeer nie 💞

  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) apricot or peaches
  • ½ kg (1.1 lbs) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Wash the apricots or peaches, extract the pits and cut them in 4 pieces.
Transfer it into a large pot, mixing with sugar.
With the lid on, let it rest for 3 hours for sugar to melt.
3 hours later, start cooking your jam on medium heat.
Skim off the foam that rises to the surface.
When the apricots or peaches get softer and the jam looks thick (in around 50-60 minutes) the jam is cooked.
Add lemon juice, stirring frequently for 2 more minutes and turn the heat off.
Preserve in sterilized bottles.
